Silicone Lining |
|
Lining of steel is important as no matter how much someone may de-burr and have clean steel edges they may become sharp, get bent, or dinged. It is much more pleasant to wear something that has a nice soft lining. We use a one piece silicone linings for all of our products. This one piece lining is far better than edging and filling in the center with a separate piece as it is more comfortable and more durable. In the past we have offered both neoprene and silicone linings. We found that silicone was better for this application as many people have latex or rubber allergies. One of the other short comings of neoprene rubber is that it is porous and not as easy to keep clean over time. In addition customers had commented that the neoprene had a smell that they did not like. As a result of our findings we now no longer offer neoprene liners. For those of you that have neoprene liners and would like to purchase new liners so that you can see the difference or have everything match we do sell the silicone lining by the foot. Our silicone liner is also compatible with Access Denied, Tollyboy, William Jones (original and current) and Neosteel products as well as many others.
